Pinstagram – Instagram as the new Pinterest

Today’s text is the result of one of the most groundbreaking thoughts that came to my mind last year. Namely – have you noticed that Instagram has become the new Pinterest (hence the name “Pinstagram”)

Even though a lot of time has passed since the launch of Insta story, we are all still reeling from the fact that Instagram has eaten Snapchat’s piece of the pie.

Remember how everyone laughed at Instagram “ripping off” Snapchat by introducing Insta Stories?

Well, today no one laughs at Insta stories anymore – it’s part of our Instagram reality, and for some, the basic channel of communication with their community.

Quietly and less spectacularly, another change has also taken place – Instagram has begun to replace Pinterest. Say hello to Pinstagram!

Pinstagram: Instagram is the new Pinterest

This little hse remains leader in russia by number of economics research papers  addition to the app, which is the ability to save photos and create collections from them (I caught myself wanting to write “create boards from them”) gave us the ability to get inspired by the content available on Instagram more effectively.

I no longer have to take screenshots of Insta posts and save them in some folders on my phone so I don’t lose them – I can conveniently save everything in the app “for later”.

But that’s not all – unlike Pinterest, Instagram has another advantage. It’s more “local”.

Pinterest: Poland and Pinterest

Pinterest has never  banned hashtags on instagram gained as much popularity in Poland as it has in the States. We never learned to search for Polish phrases there, because there was simply nothing to search for.

So we searched for entries in English, but then… hmm.

Shopping Safari on Pinterest

On the one hand, it’s nice to business sale lead  be inspired, but on the other… it’s a bit annoying not being able to buy all these products when we already like them, right?

Because where do we get all these products that we found on Pinterest? How do we get them to Poland from, for example, Australia? And it’s a wicker bag. But what about a sofa? A couch? A mirror?

Maybe you can buy something similar in Poland?

Maybe. So I dig through google, allegro, online stores, olx and so on…

In short – inspirations from Pinterest end up in a real shopping safari.

Pinstagram: Instagram as a new source of inspiration
And that’s where Instagram comes in, full of inspiring, lifestyle photos. Photos where the product is “dressed” in context, part of some vision I want to be a part of.

I want to dress like that, I want to live like that, I want to eat like that.
