Courses, training, specialist literature. Access to knowledge – often completely free – is really easy and simple today. The Internet combined with knowledge of English provide such opportunities that I feel overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge that is literally at my fingertips. How to deal with an excess of ideas for developing your blog?
And you know what? an excess
Oh my God! How true! I’ve email marketing in action experienced this myself more than once – or rather, I’m constantly facing it anew. But I’ve found my way around it.
The secret to success lies in…
Honestly, I don’t know. But sometimes I think that these “big bloggers” succeeded because when they started, the room to maneuver was sooo limited.
They could concentrate on what was important to them – writing lyrics.
If I once thought that as a blogger best practices in retail procurement I had to be a multi-instrumentalist, now I feel like I sometimes run the entire National Philharmonic Orchestra.
We have so many media, so many possibilities…
Facebook, YouTube, Facebook groups, live, Instagram, Insta stories, Pinterest, newsletter and God knows what else.
So many different fields to cover and plow.
So many possibilities.
So much effort.
Aren’t you tired of this? Because I am.
That is why the key to success country list seems to me to be primarily imposing limitations on yourself, concentration and automation.
Today we will focus on… concentration
How to deal with an excess of ideas for blog development?
Start by setting yourself one goal
That’s right. I know your New Year’s list of goals was very long. But it’s worth trying to limit yourself in a given area to one goal. Funny – but focusing on one usually leads to development in other areas.
For example – you can decide that this year you will increase the number of subscribers to xxxx, the number of uniques to xxxx, and the number of FB fans to xxxx.
But you can also focus on just one thing – like increasing your unique count to xxxx. If you achieve that, I bet ducats to nuts that as a side effect, other parameters will also increase along with it.
Why is it so important? Because focusing on one specific parameter will allow you to stop jumping from flower to flower and start acting and go much further.
Focus on one goal
Do you know this picture? It’s an illustration from the book Essentialist:
how to manage chaos in blogging
When I first saw it, I was shocked, to say the least – I was so struck by what this picture was saying.
Suddenly I felt how fragmented and uncoordinated my actions had been so far.
How much I was wasting my time and energy grabbing new ideas all the time.
So choose one goal – and one that you can measure.
Why?
Because you need to be able to monitor whether you’re going in the right direction.
I’ve chosen my goal – what’s next?
Once you have chosen your one goal, write a list of 20 specific things that could help you achieve it. Let these be really bold ideas – don’t be afraid to let your imagination run wild here. Ideally, you should do this right now.
